Non-Resident Nepali Association to not distribute membership for now
Kathmandu. The Non-Resident Nepali Association (NRNA) has decided to not issue registered memberships through its coordinating agencies. Through a circular passed by the General Secretary Dr. Hem Raj Sharma, it has been stated that the association reached the decision through the International Executive Secretariat meeting.
Under the ‘Smart NRNA’ project, they are developing a new MIS systems and addressing the issues of conducting elections and distributing memberships. Some of the members of the association are dissatisfied with the current procedure of membership and elections.
The Global president of the association, Mr. Kumar Pant has although claimed that the proposal regarding changes in the membership procedures, MIS system and other issues have been generally received in a positive light.
