‘No new government’: spokesperson Gurung

Kathmandu. Spokesperson for the government and Minister for Communication and Information Technology Parbat Gurung, in a program, has dismissed any chance of government reorganization and said, “The present government will work for the development of the country. There can be no better alternative to Prime Minister KP Oli for the post.”

Addressing a farewell and good wishes exchange program organized by the Nepal Government Employees’ Organization Working Committee, Ministry of Communication and Information Technology, Minister Parbat Gurung stated, “It is not good to oppose the government just because of difference in opinion or ideology. I urge all to cooperate with the government with open mind and heart in building a prosperous Nepal.”

He instructed government employees to accept their responsibility and work for the people with sincerity. The minister also assured the audience that the government was committed to the welfare and rights of its employees and was working towards expediting the approval of Federal Civil Service Act.

Minister Gurung also informed that the Ministry of Communication and Information Technology was implementing new strategies for the better operation of communication media and other departments under its aegis. Nepal will be made corruption free in the communication sector soon, he added.

The organization’s departmental chair Lila Bhandari had drawn the minister’s attention during the program towards the welfare and professional development of the employees.
