NCP committed to independent judiciary says Chair Dahal
Kathmandu. Nepal Communist Party (NCP) Chair Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ has clarified on the topic he has raised in the report presented at the NCP Secretariat meeting. He has told that he and the NCP were committed to maintaining the dignity of an independent judiciary.
“Chairman comrade Prachanda has made it clear that it sought only to clarify matters about the Prime Minister’s views regarding the judiciary on the basis of the issue that was talked about outside the party and not on the dignity and prestige of the judiciary; and it has no relation to the independent judiciary and its honorable chief,” National News Agency (RSS) states quoting the press statement released by Dahal’s secretariat.
Chairman Dahal had presented the proposal at the secretariat meeting on November 13. He has made several accusations on fellow Chair and Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli in his political document. Oli has been blamed of running the government without consulting the party and resorting to any means to fulfill his political aim.
The next NCP Secretariat is scheduled for November 28 in which discussions will be made upon the proposals presented by both chairs of the party.
