Finance Ministry directs Beema Samiti to expedite Covid-19 insurance payment
Kathmandu. The Finance Ministry has directed the Beema Samiti to make the COVID-19 insurance payment to the insurers within three days of the claim. The Ministry has told the Beema committee to complete the verification of the case within three days and arrange for the payment.
The ministry had earlier instructed to make payments within a week, but since it had not been carried, the ministry has resent a letter to the committee directing to end the hassles faced by the insurers.
The ministry has further ordered to send the details of total number of people claiming insurance payment till date, number of people sent to Health Service Directorate for verification, details on the illegal claim of payment and the numbers of claimants waiting payment after verification to the ministry.
In the letter, the Beema Samiti has also been asked to notify about the efforts being made by the committed to solve the problems and the issues to be solved in coordination with the ministry.
