Three held with illegal drugs from Jhapa and Baitadi
Kathmandu. Police have arrested three youths from two different corners of the country in connection of drug possession.
A joint team of Area Police Office, Anarmani and Narcotic Drugs Bureau, Kakarvitta arrested Aashish Thapa, 25 of Arjundhara-6 with 9.5 grammes of brown sugar and Prince Khanal, 22, of Buddhashanti Rural Municipality -2 with 39 grammes of the same drug.
They were arrested at different locations on Thursday. The police also seized two motorcycles bearing the number plates Pra 1-01-013 and Me 5 Pa 9256 from them, according to District Police Office Jhapa.
Likewise, Man Bahadur Dhanuk, 30, was arrested from Modalidhar of Puchaudi Municipality-6 in Baitadi on Thursday with 10 kilograms of hashish. Chief of Baitadi Police, Deputy Superintendent of Police Narayan Prasad Adhikari confirmed the arrest.
A unified team of Regional Investigation Team (RIT) of Sudurpaschim Province and District Police Office, Baitadi, nabbed Dhanuk on a special tip-off.
National News Agency (RSS) writes that further police investigations are underway in both cases.
