NC office bearers’ meeting today to plan nationwide anti-government protest

Kathmandu. The Nepali Congress (NC) has called the meeting of its office bearers to discuss on the management of the protest program against the government it has planned to organize on Dec 14.

The meeting of the office bearers is scheduled for 9 am on Thursday and it will prepare a draft of the anti-government protest program and other internal affairs of the party, as informed by the party.

Earlier meeting of the office bearers on Dec 4 had decided to launch protest programs against the government on Dec 14 in all 77 districts of the country.

Nepali Congress has been vexed by the government’s manhandling of its senior leader Ram Chandra Poudel in Tanahun on Dec 2. It has blamed the government for discrimination, biasedness and totalitarianism. NC has also been criticizing the government for its lack of interest and seriousness in trying to curb the COVID-19 pandemic and the corruption and misappropriation of funds in the procurement of COVID-19 medical supplies and other processes.
