Three die in Kalanki truck mishap

Kathmandu. A truck (registration number plate Province 2-03001 Kha 1420) loaded with cement digressed from its path and crashed into a house at Kalanki on Friday evening. The accident took place near Kalika Petro Pump.
Shankar Pariyar of Okhaldhunga died on the spot and seven others were injured in the accident. They were taken to Vayodha and Sahid Memorial hospital for treatment.
Senior Superintendent of Metropolitan Police Range, Kathmandu, Ashok Singh, informed that out of the seven. one 42-year-old Raju Poudel of Thankre, Dhading has died today in course of treatment and a squashed body of Ranjit Kumar Chaudhary was recovered from the accident site while removing the truck. This has increased the death toll to three.
The truck, supposed to have undergone break failure, hit a car, a taxi, scooter, bicycle and motorcycle before ramming into the house and breaking its wall.
