Five arrested with 38 tolas of stolen gold

Kathmandu. Five persons were arrested with 38 tolas of gold in the capital on Sunday afternoon. They had stolen gold and cash from the house of Maili Tamang of Panchkhal municipality-2 of Kavrepalanchowk on Saturday and absconded to Kathmandu.

Working upon the information and description of the gang members provided by the Kavre Police, Metropolitan Police Circle, Lainchour, mobilized a police team, which arrested them from Dragon Disco.

The thieves were nabbed while they were discussing to divide the gold among themselves, spokesperson to the Metropolitan Police Circle DSP Pramesh Bishta informed. The whole plot had been the brainchild of Ram Tamang, he told.

The five arrestees are  Devraj Dahal of Siddhicharan municipality-5 in Okhaldhunga, Ram Chandra Chalise of Melamchi municipality-11 in Sindhupalchwok, Ram Tamang, Hui Bahadur Tamang and Rajan Tamang of Dhulikhel in Kavrepalanchowk.

They have been sent to the District Police Office, Kavrepalanchowk, for further investigation.
