Video of Indian PM Modi refusing to wear mask goes viral
Kathmandu, December 19. Indian Prime Minister had visited a handicraft fair in Kutch, Gujrat without wearing a mask. A 45-second video has gone viral in social media, although its authenticity has not been established.
The video shows Prime Minister not wearing a mask and denying wearing a mask when offered. All his associates are seen wearing a mask. The video has been criticized on social media accusing Prime Minister Modi for setting a bad example.
Opposition party members also have criticized Modi’s move as initially he urged everyone to wear masks. The twitter handle of Aam Aadmi Party, led by Arvind Kejriwal read, “Wear a mask. Don’t be like Modi ji”. TS Singh Deo, a leader of another opposition party tweeted, “Yesterday, PM Modi had a small interaction with a few farmers from Gujarat. I am really impressed to see that our annadatas (food providers) are following the safety protocols and wearing a mask. WEAR A MASK!”
Prime Minister Modi is yet to respond regarding the incident.
