Kathmandu, December 24 : Nepal’s Ambassador to the United States Dr. Yuba Raj Khatiwada has taken oath of office and secrecy before President Bidya Devi Bhandari today.
Foreign Minister Pradeep Kumar Gyawali and other high-ranking officials of the Government of Nepal were present at the ceremony held at the President’s Office, Shital Niwas.
Earlier, Khatiwada, who was the finance minister of the Government of Nepal and economic advisor to the prime minister, was recommended by the Council of Ministers as the US Ambassador. He was appointed by the president on Tuesday.
