Kathmandu, January 5. A passenger who reportedly refused to wear a face mask in a taxi, was taken to the police station by the taxi driver. The incident occurred on New Year’s day at 1 am in British Columbia, Canada.

Police officials have said that the man was intoxicated and touched the driver’s face and didn’t agree to wear a mask upon multiple requests. The man was charged with US$ 542 on multiple accounts on failure of wearing a face covering, abusive behavior and failure to adhere to the instructions of an officer.

The province in Canada has a Covid-19 Related Measures Act guidelines (CRMA) which all citizens should abide to, according to which taxi drivers should maintain distance as much as possible.
