NSU protests against dissolution of Parliament

Kathmandu, Jan 8: Nepal Students Union (NSU), on Friday, protested against the dissolution of the parliament by walking backward in Maitighar, Kathmandu.

Addressing a corner meeting organized after the demonstration, the president of the NSU, Rajiv Dhungana, said that the government was going in the opposite direction. He also warned Prime Minister Oli not to dream of being a dictator. NSU has also demanded the resignation of Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli.

Recalling the old saying, NSU leader Kundan Raj Kafle said, “The slavery of Lord Pashupatinath was not acceptable and the slavery of Prime Minister Oli would not be accepted”. He said that Prime Minister Oli was following the footsteps of the former king. He said that the NSU is ready to fight against Oli’s regression.

General Secretary of the NSU, Urmila Thapaliya said that President Bidya Devi Bhandari could not find the killer of her husband during her presidency; so, it is not possible to find the killer of Nirmala Panta as well.
