Ruling party and opposition mulling over appointment of officials in the CC

Kathmandu. Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli is holding a discussion with Sher Bahadur Deuba, president of the main opposition party Nepali Congress in regard to the appointment of officials in the Constitutional Council(CC).

A source confirms that,NCP chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal , deputy parliamentary party leader of NCP Subash Nembang and from the Nepali Congress side, party president Deuba and lawmaker Ramesh  Lekhak are participating.

At present, 39 posts remain unoccupied in 13 councils. Since the lack of officials has negatively impacted the functioning of the CC,  the government is making appointments in the vacant posts.
