A day before the 5th National Constitution Day, Prime Minister K.P. Sharma Oli has launched the 646-page book entitled “A Treatise on the Constitution of Nepal’’. The book is a compilation of individual reviews from 29 contributors regarding the Constitution of 2015. It also includes a report on the International Conference on the Constitution of Nepal held on the second week of August, 2018.

During the event at his official residence, K.P. Sharma Oli said that the current Constitution of Nepal is a dynamic document which is not only better than the past constitutions of the country, but also contains more essential rights when compared to the other constitutions around the globe.

He argues that any changes made would be justified only when it could satisfy the needs of the people as a whole, and that such changes should not be driven by individual interests. During the course of its implementation, if some issues were to be found incomplete, he stressed that the Government will be ready to make the necessary amendments.
