Dhangadhi Premier League postponed indefinitely

Kathmandu. The Dhangadhi Premier League (DPL) which was scheduled to take place from October 24 to November 09, 2020, has been postponed.
In a press release on Sunday, the organizer, Dhangadhi Cricket Academy informed that it was unlikely to stage the competition on the scheduled date due to the high risk of coronavirus infection. A new date for the competition will be revealed soon.
With the launch of DPL, the concept of franchise cricket was implemented for the first time in Nepal. Franchise teams were formed in the name of the cities and the teams began the business of auctioning and hiring players.
Since the first edition, six teams from Dhangadhi, Mahendranagar, Attariya, Rupandehi, Biratnagar and Kathmandu have been participating in the league.
