Border surveillance tightens at Biratnagar

Biratnagar. After India unilaterally opened its side of the Jogmani border without coordinating with Nepal, the possibility of unauthorized entry at the checkpoint has increased.

The Chief District Officer of Morang, Kosh Hari Niraula informed that the government has heightened the security vigilance at the border checkpoint. He also said that the Nepali citizens entering from India have to stay at the holding centre as per the guidelines prescribed by the government.

The Government of Nepal has decided to close the international border until November 15.
