Kathmandu. On the occasion of Vijaya Dashami, President Bidya Devi Bhandari today received ‘tika’ and ‘jamara’ from Guru Khem Chandra Dhakal at 10:19 am, the auspicious hour.
President Bhandari also received tika, jamara and blessings from her mother Mithila Pandey at the Office of President in Sheetal Niwas, Kathmandu,
According to President’s personal joint-secretary Shiva Bhattarai, President Bhandari offered tika, jamara and blessings to daughters Usha Kiran and Nisha Kusum and son-in-laws-Umesh Thapa and Avishek Yadav, as well as her two granddaughters and ADCs.
President Bhandari had decided not to offer tika to general public on this day this year.
