37 local levels fail to submit their budget reports at the center
Kathmandu. 37 local levels have failed to submit their budget for fiscal year 2020/21 at the Ministry of Federal Affairs and General Administration.
The 37 local units have not been able to submit their budget details at the Ministry though the ministry has repeatedly enquired about their delay, according to the spokesperson at the Ministry, Basanta Adhikari. The local levels should compulsorily submit their budgets after endorsement from their respective assemblies, he said.
Out of 136 local levels in Province 2 only 104 have submitted their budget reports at the Ministry. Similarly, two local levels in Province 1 – Bhitkhola Rural Municipality, Sankhuwasabha and Menchhayayem Rural Municipality, Tehrethum; two in Bagmati Province – Likhu Tamakoshi Rural Municipality, Ramechhap and Aamachhodingmo Rural Municipality, Rsuwa; and one local level in Sudur Pashchim Province – Budhiganga Municipality, Bajura have not submitted their budgets so far.
