Kathmandu. Chair of Nepal Communist Party (NCP) and Prime Minster KP Sharma Oli has stated he might not be present at the next meeting of the NCP Secretariat unless the political document presented by fellow Chair Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ is withdrawn. The document presented by Prachanda in the meeting on Friday has made grave allegations upon Prime Minister Oli and asked for his resignation, albeit indirectly.

It had been decided on Friday to continue the meeting on November 18. Prime Minister Oli has given signals of his not being present in the meeting this Wednesday.

On discussions with the leaders on Sunday, PM Oli emphasized that the report submitted by Prachanda had to be taken back as it bore crude and baseless remarks against him. PM Oli had meetings with senior leader Madhav Kumar Nepal and vice-chair Bam Dev Gautam at his official residence in Baluwatar. Oli had both leaders that the proposal had to be withdrawn by any means, news source claims.

According to source close to senior leader Nepal, PM Oli said that that it was unnecessary to provide clarifications to the allegations made upon him by Prachanda in the report as they were all false. PM Oli asked leader Nepal to initiate the withdrawal of the report, responding to which Nepal told that all misunderstandings and disputes had to be resolved in the meeting through discussion.

There are also unverified reports about PM Oli making offers to deputy-chair Gautam. Gautam has been offered a role in the Cabinet with the portfolio of his desire, it has been learned.
