FNCCI election: voting over, results to be out today

Kathmandu. The voting for the election of the new working committee of Federation of Nepalese Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FNCCI) has been over.

The election committee has informed that all voters from the district-municipality, commodity and associates categories have voted leading to cent percent voting. The election commenced from 8 am and ended at 4 pm.

For the new executive committee being formed after the 54th AGM, 127 members had filed for candidacy for 63 posts including a senior vice president and three vice presidents. There were a total 903 voters from associates, 105 from district-municipality and 101 from commodity categories.

Although the voting has ended, the counting has not begun. It is expected that the results will be out today. As per the charter of the federation, current senior vice president Shekhar Golchha automatically becomes the president of the federation.
