NCP Secretariat meeting: PM Oli submits his proposal, next meeting on December 1

Kathmandu. The Secetariat meeting of Nepal Communist Party (NCP) which had begun at the Prime Minister’s residence, Baluwater at 1:00 pm, concluded with a decision to hold the meeting again on December 1.

Talking to the media after the meeting, NCP spokesperson Narayan Kaji Shrestha said that the meeting had been adjourned leaving enough time to study the proposals submitted by PM Oli and Chair Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’.

NCP Chair and PM KP Oli has responded to Prachanda’s allegations made on the Secretariat meeting of November 13 through his written document today.

According to spokesperson Shrestha, all present in the meeting today reflected upon the intra-party conflict and agreed unanimously that they should join hands to maintain the unity of the party.

Spokesperson Shrestha stated that he was hopeful  about the NCP dispute being resolved in the next meeting on December 1. “We shall study both documents and try to end the grievances of the two leaders in the secretariat meeting. If not, we shall discuss the next day. The proposals can also be discussed in the permanent committee meeting on December 3 or the meeting of the central committee on December 10,” he said.

The meeting was attended by NCP Chair and Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli, Executive Chair Pushpa Kamal Dahal, senior leaders Madhav Kumar Nepal and Jhala Nath Khanal, Deputy Chair Bam Dev Gautam, General Secretary Bishnu Paudel, Deputy Prime Minister Ishwar Pokhrel, Home Minister Ram Bahadur Thapa and spokesperson Narayan Kaji Shrestha.
