Transparency International’s report unacceptable: government

Kathmandu. Nepal government has rejected the report prepared by the Transparency International, the global anti-corruption watchdog.

Spokesperson for the government and Minster for Communication and Information Technology Parbat Gurung stated that the report prepared by Transparency International was prejudiced and misleading and that Nepal government would not accept the report.

Explaining in a press conference organized by Nepal government, Minister Gurung told that the report had been prepared under a mission to defame the government. Some people aligned with the Transparency International are politically biased, hence the report prepared by them cannot be considered reliable, he said.

The Transparency International reported about an increase in corruption in Nepal.
