Kathmandu. Prime Minister and Chair of Nepal Communist Party (NCP) KP Sharma Oli did not attend the standing committee meeting of the party on Sunday. In stead, he sent a letter through member of the secretariat and Deputy Prime Minister Ishwar Pokhrel, giving the reason as to why he was absent in the meeting

In his letter, he has mentioned that he would not attend any meeting now onwards unless the “accusation letter” presented by another Chair Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ on Nov 13 was withdrawn without any stipulation.

PM Oli noted that Prachanda’s document was not a political proposal but merely a letter of accusation presented against the statute of the party.  He added that Prachanda has put criminal allegations against him and carried the unauthorized distribution of the document. PM Oli has also hoped in his letter that the standing committee members would be wise enough to discern the truth.

PM Oli underscored that the party was facing danger from forces that were trying to change the party leadership without holding general convention and trying to change the government without conducting the election.
