PM Oli calls all-party meeting on Tuesday

Kathmandu. Amidst the burgeoning dispute within his party Nepal Communist Party (NCP), Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has summoned an all-party meet. According to the press coordinator of the prime minister Ram Sharan Bajgain, the meeting has been called for 11 am, tomorrow (Tuesday).

The prime minister’s called an all-party meet at a time when he is opposed by the majority in his own party had raised eyebrows in the political arena.

Press coordinator Bajgain informed that the meeting has been scheduled to discuss upon the contemporary subjects and newly developed situations. The all-party meet is being called after more than six months.

Last time the all-party meet was called was on May 13, to discuss the on the construction of road by India in the Nepalese territory in the Far West. .

It’s not clear as to why the prime minister has called the meeting; speculation are that it is to discuss the demonstrations by the pro-monarchy groups, which is taking momentum against republicanism of late.
