Motion of no confidence filed against Chief Minister Rai of Province 1
Kathmandu, December 27 : A no-confidence motion has been registered against the chief minister of Province 1. Leaders close to the Prachanda-Madhav Nepal faction have filed a no-confidence motion against Chief Minister Rai after the two groups split.
On Saturday, a no-confidence motion has been registered against Chief Minister Rai proposed by recently sacked Minister Indra Aangbo and seconded by Laxman Tiwari.
Two days after the Prachanda-Madhav Nepal group filed a no-confidence motion against Bagmati Chief Minister Dormani Poudel on Friday, Chief Minister Rai has called a meeting of the Province Assembly, knowing that plan for similar step against him was in the offing. .
The Province Cabinet meeting held on Sunday morning had recommended to the chief minister to convene a meeting of the Province Assembly on January 20.
