NC organizes nationwide protest against HoR dissolution

Kathmandu, Dec 28. The Nepali Congress held demonstrations across the country today in protest against the dissolution of the House of Representatives. The demonstrations were held in all the 165 electoral constituencies in the country.

On the occasion, the event was held in all the 10 electoral constituencies in Kathmandu, with former General Secretary Prakash Man Singh addressing a meet held in New Baneswar of constituency no. 1. On the occasion, Singh accused the Prime Minister of dissolving the parliament after failing to resolve internal dispute of his party. He also commented that Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli did not dare seek a vote of confidence from the people’s representatives, though he boasted of a two-thirds majority.

Likewise, NC spokesperson Biswa Prakash Sharma addressed a meet held in Koteswar of constituency no. 2 while central member Ambika Basnet addressed a similar meet in Jorpati in constituency no. 3, Narottam Baidhya and Radha Ghale in Naxal in constituency no. 4, Joint General Secretary Dr Prakash Sharan Mahat in Maharajgunj in constituency no. 5 and former Minister Bhimsen Das Pradhan in Manamaiju in constituency no. 6.

In Balaju chowk in constituency no. 7, Mukunda Rijal and Pramodhari Guragain addressed the protest meet, former Minister Nabindra Raj Joshi in Basantapur dabali in constituency no. 8, former MP Dhyan Govinda Ranjit in Kalanki in constituency no. 9 and former Minister Rajendra Kumar KC in Kiritpur bazaar in constituency no. 10.

A rally taken out with the participation of party leaders and cadres had converged into the protest meet in the respective constituencies. (RSS)
