Kathmandu, Jan 3 : The main opposition party Nepali Congress (NC) has declared the dissolution of the parliament unconstitutional and has announced a second phase of agitation against it. NC spokesperson Bishwa Prakash Sharma informed that the program of the movement was decided by the meeting of the party’s central working committee held on Sunday.

According to him, the NC has decided to hold demonstrations on January 9 at the state assembly constituencies, at 753  local levels on January 16 and at 6,743 wards on January 21.

Earlier, the Nepali Congress had staged protests in 156 constituencies on December 28. Though the NCP (Prachanda-Madhav) group, broke ties with Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli after the dissolution of the Parliament, the Nepali Congress has decided to launch a movement single-handedly. Spokesperson Sharma said that the agitation would not be carried out in collaboration with others. He also said that Prime Minister Oli has lost his authority on ethical grounds.
