Kathmandu, Jan 3 : It has been claimed that a Chinese team is still involved in Kathmandu in a covert mission to avoid the split of the Nepal  Communist Party (NCP).

Following the NCP split, a four-member delegation headed by Chinese Communist Party (CPC), Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Guo Yezhou arrived in Nepal and returned after holding high-level meetings. The Hindustan Times, however, reported that this team came out openly and the other team is involved in a secretive manner.

However, no independent confirmation has been issued that the Chinese team is secretly involved. The visit of the Chinese delegation was also doubted upon and torch rallies had been conducted in protest before their visit.

There has been allegations that India is more involved in Nepali politics, but India has said that Nepal should not doubt so much on their intentions. The involvement of CPC in Nepali politics raises more curiosity and concern now.
