Prince of Bahrain and team to climb Mount Everest, to bring 1000 doses of covid vaccine as a gift

Kathmandu, March 15. The Prince of Bahrain, Sheikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa and his team departed from Bahrain today to arrive in Nepal to climb Mount Everest.

According to the Embassy of Nepal in Bahrain, the team consists of 13 Bahrainis and 3 British citizens. The team will be in Nepal for 80 days and their trek will be facilitated by Seven Summit Treks.

It is said that the team will be bringing 1000 doses of AstraZeneca covid vaccines as a gift. The vaccines will be provided to the residents of Chumnumri Village Municipality-1, Gorkha. The village lies on the way to trek for Mount Everest.

The officials of the Nepalese embassy in Bahrain have met and given the Prince and his team best wishes.

The team has earlier climbed Mt Lobuche and Mt Manaslu in October 2020.
