Bahrain Prince Khalifa helps children in Kathmandu

Kathmandu, May 28. Bahrain Prince Sheikh Mohammed Hamad Mohammed Al-Khalifa helped Children at Prayas Nepal Home after a successful ascent of the world’s highest peak, Mt. Everest. Due to the current surge of the COVID-19 pandemic, children were affected both financially and emotionally.

Prayas Nepal Home is a non-profit organization taking care of 30 children. Aloft Kathmandu Hotel has been supporting Prayas Nepal Children Home since its establishment. The children were affected by COVID-19 and tested positive and have been recovered. Aloft hotel has been actively supporting children helping them to live a peaceful and easier life.

Aloft hotel, Prince Khalifa including Bahrain Royal Guards, Seven Summit Treks had supported children by providing rice, lentils, cooking oil, copies, pen, hand sanitizers, soaps, masks, and other supplements. Vikram Singh, General manager of Aloft hotel said, “We would like to thank the Bahrain Prince including royal guards who have been staying at Aloft hotel after the successful summit of Mount Everest and their expedition operator Seven Summit Treks, one of the leading climbing companies in Nepal for supporting this endeavor.” He further told that support to Prayas Nepal with the supplements will further help children to fight against the COVID-19 pandemic.

Talking to DCnepal, Prince said, ‘I am humbled to support Prayas Nepal children in coordination with Seven Summit Treks and Aloft hotel by providing necessaries requirements to the children.’ It is a great opportunity to support the children of Prayas Nepal in this hard time.

‘I am feeling honored. Nepalese are amazing people and very kind, to help them in this hard situation is always great.’ Bahrain Prince Sheikh Mohammed Hamad Mohammed Al-Khalifa had arrived in Kathmandu on 15th March this spring leading a 16-member climbing team from his country to scale Mt.Everest.
