World Vision provides medical supplies worth NRs 160 million as aid

Kathmandu, May 31:  World Vision International has aided medical supplies worth NRs 16 million for the prevention and control of coronavirus in Sudurpaschim Province.

The organization has provided 440 oxygen cylinders, 10 oxygen concentrators, 380 infrared thermometers, 380 pulse oximeters, 45 PPE sets, 25 hospital beds, masks, sanitizers and other emergency medical supplies. The items were given to the five most affected districts, namely, Kailali, Kanchanpur, Achham, Bajhang and Doti.

World Vision’s COVID-19 Response Manager and Field Operation Manager Chetraj Bhattarai informed that the organization distributed 85 oxygen cylinders in Kailali and 70 cylinders each in Achham, Bajhang and Doti along with other medical supplies.

The medical support would be brought into use in the COVID hospitals operational at different local levels of Sudurpaschim Province, he shared.
