Chitawan extends Lockdown till June 24, relaxations announced

Chitawan June 17. On Wednesday, the Chitwan District COVID Management Centre and the District Administration Office extended the lockdown for a week.

According to the official statement, the prohibitory orders shall be effective till the mid-night of June 24, Thursday. 

Recent guidelines allow local departmental stores to sell food stuff. The bookstores are also allowed to resume their services.

With over 16 thousand cases, Chitawan has become the ninth-highest infected district in Nepal. So far, 252 people have lost their lives due to COVID infection.
