Hetauda: Three arrested with 143 kilograms of marijuana

Kathmandu, June 17. A team of Nepal Police on Thursday arrested three persons with 143 kilograms of marijuana.

They were carrying contraband drugs in a vehicle when captured during a security check along the East-West Highway near word-11 of Hetauda Sub Metropolitan City.

The team was deployed on the basis of a tip that the district police office received from its source, said Deputy Superintendent of Police Jayashwor Rimal.

According to the officials of the District Police Office, the vehicle (Na 1 Kha 9910) was heading to Hetauda Bazar from Manahari.

The arrested individuals have been identified as Sanak Bahadur Tamang and Somey Tamang from barhabise in Sindhupalchok, and Sabin Tamang from Raksirang of Makwanpur.

The Police are further investigating the matter.
