Fifth Pokhara Sports Award on Friday, Keshab Ranjit to receive lifetime achievement title
Kathmandu, July 1. Nepal Sports Journalists Forum on Wednesday announced that the award-giving ceremony of the fifth Pokhara Sports Award will be held on Friday at the badminton hall premise in Pokhara.
Forum’s chairperson Ekraj Giri informed that awards will be presented to selected sportsperson from seven different categories.
One of the major attractions of the event will be the lifetime achievement award, which includes a silver vessel, a copper plate, a trophy, and a shawl.
According to sources, the lifetime achievement award will be given to Keshab Ranjit for his contribution to the development of football in Pokhara.
A male and a female athlete will receive the title “athlete of the year”. Each of them will be honored with a cash prize of Rs 2 lakhs, a copper plate, a trophy, and a shawl.
Furthermore, the “best coach”, “best sports organization”, and “best sports journalist (2 persons)” and “emerging athlete of the year” will each receive Rs 35,000, an appreciation letter, a trophy, and a shawl.
