Kathmandu, August 24. The Pfizer/BioNTech COVID-19 vaccine has been given full approval by the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA), for the use by people above 16 years of age.

According to the statement released by the FDA, the vaccine’s approval will boost people’s faith in the immunization campaign and strengthen the ability to change the pandemic’s trajectory.

Acting FDA Commissioner Janet Woodcock stated that the progress represents a milestone in humanity’s fight against Covid-19.

For people aged 12 to 15, the vaccine will still be administered under the emergency authorization, granted by the administration in May.
