Nepal, India hold joint military exercise in Pithoragarh

Kathmandu, October 3. The Nepali Army(NA) announced on Sunday that the 14-day Indo-Nepal military training held in India’s Uttarakhand state has been completed successfully.

From September 20 to October 2, the 15th edition of the combined battalion exercise “Surya Kiran XV” was held at the Indian army training facility in Pithoragarh of North-Western India.

Public Relations and Information Directorate of the Nepali Army confirmed the participation of 300 Nepali personnel in the rigorous counter-terrorism training and disaster relief operational drills.

The course also included academic presentations on topics like “Mountain and Jungle Warfare”.
