Kathmandu, January 28. Nepali Sports Minister Maheshwor Jung Gahatraj has announced that the construction work at Bharatpur’s “Gautam Buddha International Cricket Stadium” will not be halted.
While speaking on an interaction program on Thursday, Gahatraj stated that the international stadium, a project initiated by Dhurmus-Suntali Foundation, is a matter of national pride. “The construction will resume as soon as a new management system is established.” Gahatraj noted.
The minister also urged the neighboring settlements to cooperate for the completion of the project. “If you (local residents) are not unified,” he warned, “the project could remain in limbo.”
