Nepal’s tourism industry has recovered by 75 percent, said NTB Director

Kathmandu, June 3. Maniraj Lamichhane, the Director of the Nepal Tourist Board, stated on Friday that the country’s pandemic-affected tourism sector had recovered 75 percent.

The data gathered by the Department of Immigration show that a total of 190,739 tourists visited Nepal in the first five months of 2022. “More than 1,11,000 tourists entered in the months of April and May,” Lamichhane noted.

He also said that the country has seen a positive increase in tourist arrivals from Bangladesh and Europe.
