ACC Women’s T20 Championship: Nepal books a place in the semi finals (watch video)

Kathmandu, June 20. Nepal has booked a match in the semi-final round of the ACC Women’s T20 Championship after winning its third match in a row.

In the third match held today at Malaysia’s Kinrara Oval Ground, Nepal defeated Bahrain by eight wickets. Bahrain had posted 15 runs target before Nepal and Nepal completed the target in 3.4 overs losing two of its wickets.

Nepal had previously defeated Bhutan by 50 runs in its first encounter. Similarly, it defeated Kuwait by 25 runs in the second match. Nepal is leading group B, which includes teams from Bahrain, Bhutan, Hong Kong, and Kuwait.

Nepal’s 15-member team comprises Captain Chhetri, Vice-Captain Indu Barma, Sita Rana Magar, Jyoti Pandey, Kabita Kunwar, Asmina Karmacharya, Kabita Joshi, Mamata Chaudhary, Manisha Upadhyaya, Doli Bhatta, Bindu Rawal, Sangita Rai, Apsari Begum, Kajol Shrestha, and Sabnam Rai. 

Nepal is scheduled to play its semi-final match against Hongkong on Tuesday.

The ACC Women’s T-20 Cricket Championship is closing on June 25.
