Kathmandu, February 25. The Pentagon stated on Friday that the United States is committed to continue strengthening and nurturing its ties with the Indian military.

While addressing a news conference in Washington, Pentagon Press Secretary Air Force Brigadier General Pat Ryder said that the United States and India enjoy a “good partnership.”

The defense trade between India and the US was almost negligible in 1997. Today it stands above USD 20 million.

Earlier last month, Ryder had said that India is a “great example” of a country choosing American security support and emphasized that the US was prepared for any response to wean India away from Russia.
