Bhuvan Bista wins cycling competition organized by Nepali Army in Mahendranagar

Kathmandu, March 12. Bhuvan Bista of Bhimdatta Municipality-3 has won the title of ‘2nd Shukla-Dodhara Chandani Cycling Competition’ organized by the Nepali Army at Mahendranagar in Kanchanpur today.

Bisht won the title by completing the distance of 40 kilometers in one hour, 35 minutes and 34 seconds in the open cycle competition jointly organized by Number 25 Brigade of Nepali Army and Shree Dal Company.

He is also the winner of the first edition of the competition held last year. The winner of the title, Bista, was awarded with a bicycle, trophy and certificate by Major General Bijaya Thapa, General Officer Commanding (GOC) at Far Western Division Headquarters.

Major General Thapa stated during the trophy distribution and closing ceremony that these sports events contributed to enhancing the relationship between the army and the general public. 

The cycling competition drew 70 participants from Kanchanpur, Dadeldhura, Kailali, and other places.
