Bus Carrying 40 Passengers Plunges at Dasdhunga

Chitwan, July 14: Nineteen people were injured after a passenger-carrying bus plunged at Dasdhunga along the Narayanghat-Muglin road section early this morning.

While speaking at the incident site, Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Bijay Raj Pandit confirmed that the bus with the registration number Bagmati Province (01-006 Kha 5237) met with the accident at 5:20 am. The bus departing from Kakarbhitta, Jhapa, was carrying up to 40 passengers.

Pandit further shared, “The bus lost control and fell 10 meters off the road at Dasdhunga in Bharatpur Metropolitan City-29.”

He noted, “Among the injured, 18 individuals are currently receiving treatment in various hospitals within Chitwan district. Additionally, one person has been referred to Kathmandu for further medical attention.”
