Koshi Region Secures Playoffs Spot with Convincing Win Over Sudurpaschim
Kathmandu, Dec 28: In the ongoing Prime Minister’s Cup Women’s T20 cricket tournament, the Koshi region emerged victorious against Sudurpaschim in a match held on Thursday, securing a spot in the playoffs. Koshi triumphed over Sudurpaschim by 8 wickets.
Sudurpaschim Pradesh set a target of 119 runs for Koshi Pradesh, batting first and scoring 118 runs with the loss of 3 wickets in 20 overs. In response, Koshi Pradesh successfully chased the target, losing only 2 wickets in 17.4 overs.
This win has propelled Koshi Region to the top of the table with 10 points from 6 games, boasting 5 wins and 1 loss. With this assured spot in the playoffs, Koshi will face Lumbini in the final match of the league stage on Saturday.
On the other hand, Sudurpaschim Pradesh, despite the loss, maintains a strong position with 8 points from 6 games. The outcome of Sudurpaschim’s playoffs remains promising. Sudurpaschim Pradesh is scheduled to play against Gandaki Pradesh in the last league-stage match on Saturday.
