Adverse Weather Disrupts Air Travel Across Nepal
Kathmandu, Apr 11: Adverse weather conditions have disrupted air travel across Nepal, affecting both domestic and international flights departing from Tribhuvan International Airport. Airport spokesperson Subas Jha has reported that sudden storms in the afternoon led to flight disruptions.
Jha explained that domestic flights have been diverted, while some international flights have been delayed or redirected to alternate destinations. Buddha Air’s flight from Nepalgunj to Kathmandu had to return to Bhairahawa, while their flight from Simra to Kathmandu was diverted back to Simra. Similarly, a flight operated by Yeti Airlines from Kathmandu to Pokhara had to return to Kathmandu due to the adverse weather conditions.
