Kathmandu, Feb 4: Negotiations to resolve the ongoing dispute over the Pathibhara (Mukkumlung) cable car project in Taplejung showed positive progress on Monday night but ended without a final resolution.
Discussions were held between the government-formed negotiation team and the protesting parties in Lalitpur. However, despite a constructive dialogue, no agreement was reached.
Prem Prasad Bhattarai, the coordinator of the government team, stated that the talks were adjourned at 11 PM and will resume today at 11 AM.
The protesting groups have demanded a halt to the cable car project and the release of detained demonstrators. Further discussions are expected to address these concerns.
