APF Club Wins Prime Minister’s Cup National Cricket Tournament

Bhairahawa (Rupandehi), March 26: APF Club has clinched the title of the Prime Minister’s Cup Men’s National Cricket Tournament by defeating Koshi in the final.

Winning the toss and electing to bat, Koshi put up a total of 254 runs for the loss of one wicket. Saqib Haque led the scoring with 68 runs off 63 balls, hitting 11 fours. Ankit Subedi contributed 35 runs, Ashish Bhattarai scored 34, and Sujan Thapaliya added 33.

APF’s bowlers put up a strong performance, with Abhishek Gautam and Mausam Dhakal taking three wickets each. Captain Rohit Kumar Poudel claimed two wickets, while Irshad Ahmed and Amar Singh Rautela picked up one each.

Chasing the target of 255, APF secured victory in 44 overs with eight wickets down. Lokesh Bam played a match-winning knock, scoring an unbeaten 84 off just 54 balls, including six sixes and six fours. Rohit Kumar Poudel added 61 runs, Deepak Bohara made 36, Sandeep Jora contributed 30, Irshad Ahmed remained unbeaten on 16, and Abhishek Gautam scored 14.

For Koshi, Firdos Ansari and Dipesh Kandel took three wickets each, while Gyanendra Shrestha and Bipul Luintel claimed one wicket each.
