Kathmandu, April 9: The third One Day International (ODI) match between Nepal and Afghanistan at the Mulpani Cricket Ground has been interrupted due to rain, with Nepal currently in a favorable position to win based on the Duckworth-Lewis (D/L) method.

The match, part of the preparation for the ICC U-19 World Cup qualifiers, saw Nepal setting a target of 192 runs after being bowled out for 191 in 45 overs. In response, Afghanistan struggled at 46 runs for the loss of six wickets in 20.1 overs when rain stopped play.

If the rain does not allow the match to resume, Nepal will be declared the winner using the D/L method, securing a consolation victory in the series. Afghanistan had already clinched the three-match series with a 2-0 lead going into this final game.
