Kathmandu, May 4: UCPN (Maoist) leader Barshaman Pun said that the issue of the Truth and Reconciliation Commission was raised during a meeting between Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli and main opposition leader Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’.
According to Pun, the leaders discussed concerns brought forward by conflict-era victims and various stakeholders. He noted that the victims had already met Nepali Congress President Sher Bahadur Deuba and were also scheduled to meet Prachanda.
“The meeting was held in this context. Let us take this issue positively,” said Pun, adding that the prime minister briefed Prachanda on the progress made so far.
