Gorilla rangers killed in DR Congo by armed guerrillas

Kathmandu. Unidentified group of armed men have killed six rangers and wounded several others in the Virunga National Park of the Democratic Republic of the Congo.
Although no group has taken responsibility for the attack, officials of the park believe Mai-Mai fighters for the ambush on Sunday. Mai-Mai fighter is a group of a score of militias fighting for the control of mineral-rich lands in eastern Congo.
According to the authorities, More than 200 rangers have already lost their lives because of deadly ambuscades in the past.
Virunga is the largest and oldest national park, home to one-third of the critically endangered mountain gorillas.
