Dominion files 1.3 billion lawsuit against Trump’s attorney Rudy Giuliani
Guiliani had key involvement in triggering the capital riot in support of “Trump’s lie about the stolen election”.
Kathmandu. January 26. Election equipment manufacturer, Dominion Voting Systems on Monday filed a complaint in the Washington district court against Rudy Giuliani, attorney of the former US President Donald Trump.
According to the 107-page lawsuit, the founder and employees of the company have been facing death threats and harassment due to the irreparable harm caused by the defamation peddled by Guiliani along with other Trump’s allies and media outlets.
The company also claimed compensation of USD 1.3 billion for the damage Dominion and its employees faced.
Dominion argues that Guiliani had key involvement in the character assassination of Dominion over Twitter, radios, television and podcast shows which triggered a huge capital riot in support of “Trump’s lie about the stolen election” on January 6 which “deceived millions into believing that Dominion had stolen their votes and fixed the election, which resulted in Trump’s defeat and Joe Biden’s victory”.
The document also stated that Guiliani’s involved in the “cashed in conspiracy theories” by demanding USD 20,000 per day.
CEO of Dominion John Poulos said in a statement “Giuliani continues to make demonstrably false claims, and we intend to hold him, and others who spread disinformation, to account.”
